These pieces have all been made and re-designed from clothing that was wastage and would have gone to landfill - giving them a second life. Using embroidery and embellishments from offcuts and production waste, including the trim offcuts from a famous interior designer, each piece is truly a one-of-a-kind design. Upcycling allows us as a company to reduce landfill and wastage from increased clothing consumption, thinking about the end of life of garments. It is not enough now for a brand to be just sustainable - we need a 360 approach to design. Through upcycling we can reduce our carbon emissions and create clothing that is still modern and contemporary whilst protecting the environment from production line emissions. One kilogram of cotton - equivalent to the weight of a shirt and pair of jeans - can take as much as 10,000–20,000 litres of water to produce. By upcycling our jeans we are preventing further environmental impact and stopping the creation of new production lines. Circular fashion is the future.
